For all customers that are in New Zealand for a few days or more we recommend travelling between New Zealand's two beautiful Islands. The Rental Car Depot allows all customers to take rental car across Cook Strait using the Interislander Ferry.

We take all the hassle out of this process by arranging your ferry bookings for you so all you have to do is turn up at the ferry terminal and drive on. This way, you don't have to unload, check in bags, sign off paperwork and rehire when you get to the other end - you save time and hassle by driving straight on and straight off!.

The Interislander Boats offer daily ferry services across Cook Strait providing a vital transport link between New Zealand's North and South Islands for passengers and their vehicles, commercials vehicles and rail freight. They use three conventional ferries (Arahura, Aratere and Kaitaki) which take three hours to cruise across Cook Strait. Each cater to Interislander's main markets: passenger and vehicle travel, commercial vehicles and rail.  Interislander offers up to 11 sailings a day, so passengers also have the convenience of a wide choice of travel time
